This is an important ministry of the Eucharistic celebration. The men and women who serve are both hosts and stewards. They greet arriving parishioners and guests, making them feel welcome. Ushers act as responders when someone is in distress. They assure order before, during and after the liturgy. Ushers assist people in finding seats.
